This outdoor living space is a project we designed and installed for a new family in Canal Winchester, Ohio. The project is complete with a fire pit, built in seating, water feature, paver patio and built in space for grill.
This is a project we installed for Zeiger Residence in Upper Arlington, OH (Suburb of Columbus, Ohio). The Zeigers had completely renovated the inside of their home and wanted to improve the backyard by adding a cozy fireplace area that was a separate space from the existing covered porch and brick patio.
We designed and installed a travertine paver patio with natural stone seating walls and a natural stone wood burning outdoor fireplace. This project was especially exciting because the home was going to be featured in the 2011 Kitchen Kapers Tour and Mrs. Zeiger (Merrit) is the honorary spokesperson for the organization. We we’re able to complete the project the evening before the event was to start.
The natural stone pathway with grass growing between each stone is made from Fond Du Lac stone which comes from Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin.

This paver project in Washington Courthouse, OH was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed working with this client. They struggled picking out material colors and choices so they told Mark the owner to pick for them. Needless to say the project turned out exceptional.
The client wanted a seperate space off their existing deck to lounge and enjoy a fire with their family of 5. Their house is the neighborhood hang out.

This is a project we completed this year. The client contacted us in early spring with lots of ideas but couldn’t put them all together to create a space that made sense for their family and lifestyle. The design goals were to incorporate a pizza oven and outdoor kitchen that was easily accessible from the back door of the house into a tuscan inspired outdoor living space large enough to entertain their growing family and the large groups of friends and family that they often entertain. There were also substantial grade changes that had to be addressed without using typical man made materials that would take away from the tuscan style.

Check out this outdoor living addition we did for the Davenport family in Centerville, Ohio. The family recently moved to Centerville from Texas and really missed the their outdoor living space back home. If you know much about Texas, their outdoor living spaces and outdoor kitchens are sometimes nicer than their indoor ones.
They already had an existing concrete patio and wanted to build off of that. A spot to grill out and a fireplace was very important so we came up with the design below:
The project turned out amazing and we we’re able to complete the project in time for the Davenports to host the neighborhood 4th of July party.
The outdoor fireplace
We constructed the outdoor fireplace similar to the Unilock pre-made fireplaces. We prefer to build our own unique design if at all possible. This also helped cut down on cost and in our opinion our customer received a better fireplace. The Unilock fireplaces are pre-built in Chicago and shipped around to several different destinations, so a large portion of the expense is transportation. We we’re able to use the Unilock fireplace as inspiration and come up with our own design. We and our customer couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out.
The custom cedar pergola
We built a custom cedar pergola with the ceiling beams interlocking so that it had a custom feel and would outlast the Ohio elements.
The paver patio
The patio was built using Unilock Brussels Block pavers and Brussels Block Dimensional for the steps, fireplace, and outdoor grill island.
This is a complete outdoor living project that includes a custom build outdoor fireplace, custom cedar pergola, outdoor kitchen island with built-in-grill, a travertine patio with a natural stone walkway, and landscaping.
